Title: My Redeemer/Topic: Restoration
Today’s Reading: Deuteronomy 30; Deuteronomy 31; Psalm 40; 1 Corinthians 1
Scripture: Deuteronomy 30:1-3
1 When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come upon you and you take them to heart wherever the LORD your God disperses you among the nations, 2 and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, 3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.
Observation: God is so good! When we blow it and disobey him we will suffer consequences, BUT, if we turn our hearts back to him he promises to restore us and give us just as many blessings as we had before. We are never condemned to stay in a place of lack or of suffering.
Application: It is my choice whether or not to stay in a place of unfulfillment and problems or not. Even if I have disobeyed terribly, I don't have to remain in a place of reaping what I have sown. All I have to do is come back to God with my whole heart and begin to live in obedience to what he has said and he will restore me to a life of prosperity and joy.
Prayer: Thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for forgiving us and restoring us completely when we choose to repent of our disobedience.
This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
