Title: But What About?.../Topic: Trust
Today’s Reading: Deuteronomy 32; Deuteronomy 33; Deuteronomy 34; 1 Corinthians 2
Scripture: Deuteronomy 32:4
4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Observation: I love this verse. I don't always understand God's ways or how he will work out justice. There are some big questions I wonder about. If someone lives in a place where they never hear about Jesus, do they get sent to hell when they were never told about him? What about someone who is of a different faith but who behaves like a Christian should? Why do wicked people sometimes seem to be blessed more than those who love God?
Application: When I struggle with questions, this verse (and others like it) bring me comfort. God's ways are just and perfect, he does no wrong. Thank God! I don't have to have it all figured out. I know his character, therefore I can trust that all will come out right in the end. He knows what he's doing.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for being just. I know you are endlessly creative as well as good and just. You will work all things together for the good of everyone and all will see that what you do is right. I praise you for this.
This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
