Title: Remember and Celebrate /Topic: God's faithfulness

Today’s Reading: Joshua 12; Joshua 13; Joshua 14; 1 Corinthians 7

Scripture: Joshua 12:1
1 These are the kings of the land whom the Israelites had defeated and whose territory they took over east of the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon, including all the eastern side of the Arabah:

Observation/Application: What follows this verse is a detailed list of all the kings that Joshua and the Israelites defeated in their battles. I've always thought of this chapter as quite boring and usually just skim it briefly. But the Lord spoke to me about the importance of celebrating every victory as I read it today. I need to celebrate and remember every victory he has given me in my life so that when I am facing new trials I have a history of the faithfulness of God that floods my mind and encourages me. I have never made a written record of God's faithfulness to me but that would be good also. My children and grandchildren would benefit.

Prayer: Help me to recall and celebrate every victory you give me Lord. They are far from boring. They encourage me and give me strength and faith to face new trials that come along. You are so good to me. Thank you for your victories and your faithfulness through all situations.
This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
